Future plan :
• To develop the policy for Management of Ornamental Fishes and allocate research priorities in the burning environmental issues
• To provide advisory and consultancy services
• To take up projects in collaboration with other Institutes and Universities from ICAR, CSIR, DBT, NABARD, Department of Environment and Forest etc.
• To plan commencement of training programmes in different groups for faculty of affiliated Colleges / other Universities / Departments of Govt./ professional bodies / NGO’s and more specifically Women, SC/ & ST population and Weaker section of the society.
• To develop database for the development and planning authorities through our field-based project reports
• To organize workshops, trainings and seminars for exchange of ideas on sustainable solutions with the farmers and self-help groups.
• To seek major projects from DST, DBT, UGC, ICAR, Govt. of India; DST, Department of Environment, Pollution Control Board, Department of Forest, Govt. of West Bengal; NABARD, Govt. of India for sustainable aquaculture development. |
