I have completedmy Ph.D. with the thesis titled “Satyajit Ray’s Films: Understanding the Portrayal of Relationship.” My doctoral research reflects my interdisciplinary engagement with sociology and cinema, particularly in understanding how human relationships, social values, cultural contexts, and changing social structures are represented through the films of the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Satyajit Ray.My research explores cinema as an important cultural medium through which social relationships and everyday life can be understood and interpreted. I have also developed a keen academic interest in the life, society, culture, and socio-economic conditions of the Birhor community of Purulia, West Bengal. I am particularly interested in examining issues related to education, women's status, livelihood, social relationships, cultural practices, and social change among the Birhor.I am also actively engaged in community service and youth development through the National Service Scheme (NSS), where she serves as a Programme Officer of unit X and also connected in Unnat Bharat Abhiyan as an active member.
