Biographical Sketch
Dr. Chandrima Chakraborty is currently serving as an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Economics, Vidyasagar University. Dr. Chakraborty did her Post graduation in Economics from the University of Calcutta and then she obtained her M.Phil. degree and Ph.D. degree in Economics from Jadavpur University. She has several publications in both national and international journals as well as in edited books of reputation. She has published a number of books as editor. She, as a Principal Investigator, has completed a few research projects funded by UGC and ICSSR.
Academic Interest
Her major area of academic interest includes Applied econometrics, Industrial growth, Productivity and Efficiency. She is also interested in Environmental economics, Gender issues, Agricultural Economics, Economics of Crime as well as health and economics of education.
