Biographical Sketch
I have a work experience of more than 13 years, which is a blend of research (including field based data collection) and teaching. My areas of expertise includes teaching Post Graduation, M.Phil. and Ph.D. students. Previously, I have supervised 2 M.Phil Scholars and currently I am guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars in the department. Apart from that, I am also supervising Master's Dissertation, Industry Visits, Ethnographic Field Work Projects in the department. Involved in various extra-academic and administrative activities of the Department including Under Graduation and Post-Graduation Examination related responsibilities. Completed my Ph.D. from Department of Sociology, University of Calcutta, India, MA (Sociology) from University of Calcutta and Graduation in Sociology from St. Xavier's' College, Kolkata.

My teaching areas include but is not limited to Classical and Advanced Sociological Theories, Research Methodology and Social Statistics, Sociology of Work, Organizations, Occupations and Professions, Social Psychology, Indian social issues, Sociology of Health, Sports Sociology, Digital Media.
