Computer Centre

Established in 1998, the Computer Centre of Vidyasagar University serves as the central hub for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services, digital transformation, and capacity building within the University. Over the years, the Centre has evolved from a basic computing facility into a strategic enabler of the University's vision of becoming a Smart Campus, supporting teaching, learning, research, governance, and community outreach through innovative technology solutions.

The Computer Centre is responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and securing the University's digital infrastructure while providing a wide range of ICT-enabled services to students, faculty members, officers, employees, researchers, affiliated colleges, and other stakeholders. Besides offering short-term training and skill development programmes for students, staff, and faculty members, the Centre also conducts computer literacy programmes and digital awareness initiatives for residents of neighbouring villages and surrounding communities. The Centre maintains and manages the University's official website, provides institutional e-mail services to the University community, and supports various digital platforms that facilitate academic and administrative activities. Through continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologies, the Centre has played a pivotal role in transforming academic and administrative processes into efficient, transparent, and technology-driven systems.
