Online Grievance Redressal Management System

Apart from the Students Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC), the University has a well-established Online Grievance Redressal Management System.

Objectives

This system aims to look into the complaints lodged by any student/other stakeholders and redress them as per requirement. Students may submit grievances relating to academic and non-academic matters (including sexual harassment and ragging cases) through the Online Grievance Redressal System or the Grievance / Suggestion Box available on campus.

Mechanism of the Grievance Redressal Cell

  1. Complaints received through the e-Grievance Portal are attended promptly by the officer-in-charge.
  2. The grievance is segregated and discussed with the concerned committee before forwarding it for necessary action.
  3. Complaints of general nature are considered directly by the Grievance Redressal Cell.
  4. The concerned committee investigates the complaint and, if necessary, hears the complainant or seeks clarification.
  5. If a complaint is found invalid, both parties are informed accordingly and appropriate action may be taken.
  6. Every complaint is resolved within a reasonable period of time.

Procedure for Lodging a Complaint

A student of Vidyasagar University may lodge a grievance by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Vidyasagar University website.
  2. Open the Student Zone.
  3. Open the Student Grievance Portal or visit
    http://apps.vidyasagar.ac.in/Grievance/
  4. Select Lodge a New Grievance, Send Reminder or View My Grievances.

  5. Provide your Email Address.
  6. Create a Password.
  7. Confirm the Password.
  8. Enter the CAPTCHA Code.
  9. Lodge New Complaints/Grievance with details in the prescribed online form.
Students may also submit written grievances (anonymous if required) through the Grievance / Suggestion Box.
