5. Implementation of NEP 2020
The NEP 2020 has been implemented in undergraduate programmes (offered in affiliated colleges) from the 2023–24 academic session. It has also been implemented in postgraduate programmes from the 2025–26 academic session.

6. IKS: IKS is now a compulsory course for all first-semester students (for most programmes, it is Paper No. 405 or 406). Different courses have been designed based on the respective disciplines.
7. Use of Regional Languages:
The official medium of instruction is English. Language courses are taught in their respective languages. In addition, certain Social Science courses are offered in Santali, as listed below. Apart from these, most programmes are conducted in Bengali.
At the postgraduate level, the following programmes are delivered in regional languages: Bengali (in Bengali), Sanskrit (in Sanskrit), Santali (in Santali), Hindi (in Hindi), and selected courses in History, Political Science, and Philosophy (in Santali).
